Our first look at the new entrance hall – the welcome into the barn, sitting at its heart between the dining room on one side and the bar and dance floor on the other.
As we enter 2027, Hyde Barn and the Gatehouse are being refurbished in collaboration with London-based interior design studio Studio Duggan. Building on the barn’s existing character, this next chapter enhances its defining features while introducing a more elevated finish throughout.
The design honours Hyde’s heritage while embracing a playful, contemporary spirit – layering texture, detail and carefully chosen pieces to create spaces that feel warm, welcoming and full of character. Alongside the barn, the Gatehouse becomes a dedicated dressing room, and The Grange gains a covered bridal waiting area.

Warm and inviting, the new barn has layered textures, considered lighting and a refined palette to complement the natural architecture.
*Wooden flooring will continue into the new extension.
The new bar will be the heart of the evening, with a tiled dance floor, marble-topped bar and fabric canopy creating a relaxed, late-night feel. There’s space for a band or DJ, and a couple of sofas to take a breather between drinks and dancing.
Upstairs, the mezzanine becomes a dedicated powder room and viewing spot, with comfy seating overlooking the dance floor — a place to touch up your makeup, take a few photos or pause, without missing the action below.
The former Gatehouse on the northern corner of the grounds becomes a dedicated space to get ready for the day – a place to gather, get prepped and take your time before the celebrations begin.
Kitted out with two curtained changing areas, four makeup stations, full-length mirrors and plenty of hanging space, there’s everything you need to get ready together. Hairdryers, straighteners, steamers and a hair-washing station have you covered, with speakers throughout for your favourite getting-ready playlist.
There’s a coffee machine and fridge for keeping drinks on hand, with breakfast and build-your-own mimosas available to order to ease you into the morning.
