FAQs
-
Can we conduct our civil ceremony outdoors?
Yes, at Hyde Barn you can. The arbour in our garden qualifies as a ‘permanent structure’ that fulfils the Registration Office requirements and may be used as the focus for your ceremony.
-
Can our guests use confetti?
We ask that only dried flower petals be used.
-
Can we use fireworks?
We regret that neither fireworks or naked-flame lanterns can be used on the premises.
-
Can we invite additional guests just for the evening events/reception?
Yes, we are happy for additional guests to join the party in the evening (although if they wish to have food this would have to be included in the catering arrangements).
-
Is there disabled access?
The venue has wheelchair access and includes suitable facilities.
-
What are the venue’s opening and finishing times?
Access to the venue is available from 9am to use bridal preparation facilities. We request that the venue be vacated by 1am at the end of the evening’s celebrations. Guests arriving before the ceremony may use the bar and facilities at our exclusive Hyde House.
We do allow dressing of the beams, but you must make arrangements directly with the supplier and any decorations should be completely removed by 9am the following day; any items left on the beams after this time will incur a removal charge.
-
How do I select my menu?
We kindly ask you to choose one choice for starter, main and dessert, vegetarians/special diets will be catered for in addition to this.
-
Do you cater for children?
We offer a 3 course children’s menu, alternatively, the under 12’s ½ price, ½ portion adult menu.
-
Do you cater for special dietary requirements?
We can make provision in our catering for guests with nut allergies, coeliac conditions or any other specific requirements wherever possible. Of course we would need advance notice of any such requirements among your wedding party, together with specific details of any allergic or other conditions we would need to take account of. Our menu includes vegetarian options.
