Ellen & Jeff

30 Jul 2016

This hot sunny day began with Jeff, his ushers and soon to be family members, setting up the Barn whilst Ellen was getting all glammed up for her big reveal with her maids in anticipation.

The lovely couples’ day was extra special for them as most of their friends and Jeff’s family had travelled all the way from Australia to be a part of their big day.

The morning was made even more enjoyable as Jeff and his ushers had set up their 5-piece band for the Drinks Reception and Evening Celebrations. We were all lucky enough to get a glimpse of their rehearsal.

The time came for Ellen’s big moment, she looked gorgeous! Her maids led the way to the Arbour all looking stunning as ever, followed by a very nervous but beautiful Bride and her father.

My favourite moment of the day, was seeing the new Mr & Mrs dancing their way back down the aisle as a Married couple!

The rest of the day ran smoothly and all guests looked like they were having a ball!

Ellen had arranged a surprise for her new husband with video messages from all of Jeff’s friends and family who couldn’t be there to celebrate the day with them. I can imagine there wasn’t a dry eye around!

We were very lucky as a team here at Hyde House to be a part of their special days and to be able to share their day with you.

I wish the lovely couple all the best in their bright future together in Australia <3

Here are a couple of pictures of their day by the very talented Sue Lloyd…X.

Hyde House Fourth Birthday

27 May 2016

It is such a pleasure to be able to announce that today is Hyde House's fourth birthday, and it continues to be the most amazing journey. We consider it an honour and a privilege to have been able to host so many beautiful weddings during that time (with so many more to come!).

Since opening in 2012 we feel so lucky to have been such an integral part of the day for all of our Brides & Grooms, as well as all of their friends and their families.

We are tremendously proud of how much the team here at Hyde House has developed over the last four years. From our exceptional kitchen brigade lead by Darren to our amazing front of house team lead by Tim, working together with Annie and her coordinators we are more confident than ever that Hyde House will continue to deliver magical and seamless weddings in the years to come.

These last four years have also given us the pleasure of meeting and working with so many talented photographers, florists, musicians, stylists, and registrars who all help make the Hyde House experience what it is, and add so much character and personality to our weddings.

Over the coming months and years, our new blog will give us the chance to showcase our gorgeous Brides & Grooms stories, as well as all the exciting developments at Hyde House. We are so tremendously excited for the busy summer ahead and look forward to sharing these moments with you!

Wishing you all a lovely bank holiday weekend.

Hyde House Team X

Outdoor Ceremonies at Hyde Barn

11 Aug 2014

Our location nestled between the small market town of Stow-on-the-Wold and the river side Bourton-on-the-Water boasts fabulous scenery. A perfect backdrop for a gorgeous outdoor wedding in the sunshine. Here is an inspirational look at some moments alone in the Fosse Manor garden, drinks on the Hyde Barn terrace and outdoor ceremonies at Hyde Barn …

Emma and Phil’s styling worked fantastically with the spring wedding season! as you can see , they chose floral sprigs  on our neutral Chiavari Chairs which gave an effortless Cotswold style.

The little touches such as the hand made favours for all of their guests, made this day so memorable for us, and I’m sure all of the guests. It’s fantastic to see the couples personalities expressed, from Emma’s beautiful shoes to Phil’s performance to kick off the evening fun!!

We were also lucky enough to hold the wedding of Lisa & Dan at Hyde Barn in July 2014. Their big day was so dreamy with blushing pinks and soft whites as their key colours which looked absolutely stunning! Navy suits are a rising trend this wedding season… and one that the Hyde Barn team have fallen in love with.

Having an outdoor ceremony was very important to the couple when choosing Hyde Barn as their wedding venue. Despite being very nervous of rain, Lisa & Dan were lucky enough to have fabulous sunshine all of their wedding day.

One of Lisa’s favourite moments was “Walking out and seeing everyone stood up. There is a great photo of me and my dad walking down and I have such a happy smiley face!!”

Lisa’s top styling tip would be to keep things simple, although she loved her floral display on our Arbour (me too!!). For more Hyde Barn wedding inspiration please follow us on Instagram and Pinterest… We are addicted!!

Here’s a HUGE Thank You to the talented Ben Roberts at www.bloomingphotography.co.uk for providing us with some of his fabulous outdoor shots of these couples’ weddings.   Lots of Love, Hyde Barn xx

‘Tis the season…

16 Dec 2013

…to be jolly!

We really are getting into the festive swing of things, with Christmas parties and seasonal weddings galore.

Mark and his brigade are cooking up a Christmas-y storm…

Phil, our gardener has been working tirelessly to bring the barn and gardens to life with thousands of christmas lights. Photographer Matt Long managed to capture this in a perfect image of our arbour at Andrea and Andrews big day.

On the first of December was the wedding of the lovely Becca and Pete. It was a chilly, crisp Sunday which made for some STUNNING shots!!

This couple even invited the staff for snap in their photo booth. What a fun way to kick start the month!

Over at the hotel, the kitchen team have added a yummy new addition to their seasonal winter menu… Tah Dah!

White Chocolate and Raspberry Mousse with Chocolate Ice Cream and Biscotti. Definitely worth saving room for.

December is THE month for staff parties (as we all know) and we have had some fantastic local businesses joining us! Our first annual open Christmas party was on Saturday the 14th and it was so much fun, we hope to see all the familiar faces again next year!

A very merry Christmas from Hyde Barn Team to you, and ring in the New Year in style (and with plenty of bubbles)!

xxx

With thanks to the talented Dafydd Hughes and Matthew Long
