November of 2013 brought us the wonderful Wedding of Andy and Liz.
The whole day including the build up was such a family affair, we feel like we need to share it with the world!!
I recently caught up with Liz to reminisce over her beautiful Big day, and find out why they chose a November wedding at Hyde Barn…
Hyde barn was the 1st place we went to see, and we fell in love with it as soon as we arrived. I wanted a venue that we had exclusive use of and that was a barn style/old vintage build. We got both with Hyde barn and Fosse manor.
I also wanted somewhere with lots of space and high ceilings due to my now husband being 6’5….we couldn’t have somewhere with low ceilings!!!
Hyde Barn is set in the countryside and just has such a beautiful feel to it with the gardens around being utterly beautiful.
I wanted somewhere with plenty of room for me and my bridesmaids to get ready and also plenty of space for my son and nephews to be able to play safely on the day and in the evening.
Hyde Barn was a great price and included everything that we wanted.
The staff at Hyde Barn also helped to make the decision very easy, so we booked.
We have absolutely no regrets about choosing Hyde Barn as the day was perfect. The food was out of this world and all our guests commented on how amazing it was. The canapés were stunning and the Hog Roast was fabulous.
The day flowed with no hiccups thanks to the amazingly kind and organised staff. They helped us to set up the day before and the morning of. I really felt like I was the first and only person to ever get married at Hyde Barn, this is how special they made me feel.
November can bring amazing colours and has the potential to be dry (although we had rain on our big day). We did not want the possibility of a scorching day as I’m not great in hot hot weather and we did not want our guests complaining of the heat, so November was perfect for us. We had the colours of the beautiful leaves that were caught in our pictures.
Elizabeth’s Tips for Wedding Planning:
1) To try and include your hubby-to-be in the final decisions. Although 9 times out of 10 he was happy for me to go ahead, I wanted him involved and to make some of the exciting decisions too.
2) When making a final decision, try and stick to it. Its’ harder and more work if you keep changing your mind on things.
3) I considered our budget all the time, I tried to think if things were really necessary and if our day would be complete without something that we didn’t really need. We came in below budget and had the best day ever…..
Liz and Andy really are a special couple, we feel so lucky to have worked with them to make their day all they could have dreamed for!!
A huge Thank You to Andy and Liz for being a fantastic Hyde Barn couple… all our love and congratulations to them and their son Thomas!!
Now for one last piece of advice for Winter Warmer Weddings from the happy couple:
Try to forget about the weather, that is the ONLY thing on your big day that you have absolute no control over. We all want the sun to shine on our wedding day but if you do choose to get married during the autumn or winter you need to prepare for the rain/wind/snow…..if you plan for it and the sun shines then it is a BIG bonus. We had rain on our day and i wouldn’t now go back and change a thing. We had some great pictures of me in my Ugg boats and Andy holding a white umbrella over me. Looked amazing. The most important thing on your big day is that you get to marry the love of your life…..and maybe get some sunshine xx
Thank you to Katie Hamilton Photography for the gorgeous Images!
